About ...
Everything started with my first comic project, 'Where Dreams Begin'. Unfortunately, I haven't fully started it yet, due to my constant insecurity. I always feel that my work isn't good enough. I always feel like something is missing. It was then that I decided I HAD to get a tablet. I wanted to draw in a more natural way, without complex tools. Just my tablet, my pen, and my program's brushes!
Four or five months passed since I got the tablet, and I still hadn't mastered it. It's hard to draw in it, but I have hope in that I'll get used to it and start improving. In that desire of improving before finally starting a greater story, I decided to start a smaller one. That smaller story is The Dream Agency.
The Dream Agency is a simple, yet enjoyable (I hope) story inspired by Japanese manga. It's still very much an experiment, so my art style may change a lot as the story progresses. And there may be unexpected plot twists if I feel like it. But for now, I have a simple story. If I get this off the ground, it will officially become my first comic project to get past the planning stage! I have never ever gotten one "off the ground". I have a bad habit of not finishing what I start.
You have a description of the story around the website, so I don't think I have to repeat it. However, I will tell you what you can expect from it. First of all, this story is not 'shounen' (it's not aimed at boys). You will most likely not see anything such as super powers, super heroes, aliens, time-travelling, monsters, etc. What you will find is some 'shoujo' (it's aimed at girls). Life situations, romance, humour, cuteness, interesting characters, and many different emotions. (I am aiming towards a lot of humour, be it good or bad... I don't know how good I am at it!) But also know that this is still an experiment, and things can suddenly change and move in a very different direction.
Edit: In fact, I recently decided there will be some magical/mystical elements in the story, just not enough to call this fantasy or anything similar.
I still don't know how many chapters this story will contain. That is, I don't know how long this will be. I want to add some small stories in-between the main plot, just for entertainment and better character development. I have planned chapter one, and have a general idea of chapter two's contents. I don't have an ending for this story yet, though!
I love stories such as Ouran High School Host Club, and I could be influenced by them. And of course, you'll see a few parodies too! They will be added with the intention of making you laugh, if I succeed. They are not there to offend the authors or fans. Actually, the parodies will be for my favorite manga or anime series. So don't mind, as it's not copyright infringement, and definitely nothing of an offensive nature!
Expect more to come to this page at any moment!- Arwym Starlight
Chapters ...
Here is a list of the chapters I have already planned to some extent, and brief descriptions for each of them.
Note that what I had of the story is being rewritten. And the thing about the letter doesn't happen in the first chapter anymore. Don't take any of this for granted, for I keep changing my mind. :x
- Chapter I: Untitled This is an introduction to our main character. It begins with 'flashbacks' of the moment when she arrived at her new home, and how she felt about it. Then we move to her present, in her 16th birthday, when we also meet some supportive characters: people who have been by her side all those years. And who knows, maybe we'll see an antagonist of some sort?
- Chapter II: Must Not Talk With Strangers Hm... I'll leave this to your imagination for the moment.

I want to thank Psychobob for the screentones, patterns, textures and brushes. Visit the website.
For software, I use different programs depending on the need, the mood, and the state of my laptop, which happens to be very unstable (and SLOW) lately.- Adobe Photoshop 7 - I made my first pages with it.
- The GIMP 2.6 - Planning to work on it more from now on. It's become such a lovely program!
- Pixia - Pixia is a simpler program, but sometimes it happens to give me the results that other programs don't at that moment. It's very good for drawing/sketching. Also in English.
- Easy Paint Tool SAI - This one's amazing. It can produce some beautifully smooth artwork.
- NekoPaint - This program is in Japanese, with an unfinished English translation. However, there is enough English for us in the Western world to manage. The program feels a lot like SAI, has the most necessary features, and the brushes are highly customizable. Try it.
- Inkscape - This fantastic (and free) vector graphics program is an excellent replacement of Illustrator, which I've used in the past so much, even for the lineart of WDB. I will always make some vector art for this webcomic, even if just for cover pages and website's graphics.
I also want to thank my friends for their feedback and support. For accepting that I torture them each time I'm drawing a new page, heheh. A big hug to you all!
